The North Devon Theatres Trust does not simply present performances - it is deeply committed to developing a wider understanding and appreciation of the arts.
As part of this work - aimed at young and old alike - the Theatres run various schemes and activities to encourage people to find out more about the Theatres themselves; to become involved in performances; to meet players and performers; to take part, with the cast, in discussions about plays; to participate in workshops and other activities with theatre and dance companies.
We believe in helping young people realise their arts potential by gaining experience in our various schemes and projects. By participating in Make the Move Classes and our workshops, it is possible to get further involved in residencies, performances (including being selected for the junior cast in our professional pantomimes), theatre trips and work experiences.
These events are co-ordinated by our Education Officer, Carol Turner.

Lee ClubWith a magical formula inspired by the smash series “Glee” and led by Musical Director Lee Baxendale this light-hearted programme will be your chance to learn, sing and perform all your favourite chart hits - and some pop/rock classics only your mum and dad will have heard of! The project is open to all young people between 8 and 18 and no experience or training is necessary - all we ask is that you love to sing and have a sense of humour. You will need a folder for your music, a pencil, and a bottle of water. Lee Club will also be performing at the 60 years of Music Proms, an outdoor concert as part of the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations on 2nd June. In the summer term a CD recording will be made of your favourite songs. Saturdays during term time |

Whether you are a complete beginner, an accomplished musician, budding songwriter or a shower-time singer we want to help you!
