01 July - North Devon Festival in Top Five

Its official, the North Devon Festival is one of the Top Five Events nationwide during June.

The Times' culture supplement The Knowledge rated the North Devon Festival in their list of Top Five Events for three weeks running, with the week prior to that seeing the Barnstaple Colourscape Festival reaching the Top Five.

The Knowledge regularly feature Top Five lists of events and performances happening throughout the country and picked out many shows within the Festival.

Top Five Jazz – in at number 5 was Courtney Pine, number 4 was Barnstaple Fringe, and hitting the number 1 spot was Billy Cobham & Asere.

Top Five Theatre – the West End smash hit musical Blood Brothers reached pole position.

Top Five Comedy – Paul Merton and his Impro Chums entered the top five twice, and Lee Evans, Simon Amstell and Jo Caulfield also made an appearance.

So its true, North Devon really is the place to be!
