Due to the re-launch of the North Devon Theatres online ticketing system the box office will be closed at both venues until Friday. Due to a slight technical hitch we are unable to open Wednesday as originally planned.
To improve the efficiency of the North Devon Theatres’ Box Office, the two venues – the Queen’s Theatre in Barnstaple and the Landmark Theatre in Ilfracombe – will be receiving a state-of-the-art computer upgrade during September.
Supplied by Tickets.com, the new system is called ProVenueMax and will enable the Box Office staff to provide a quicker service to customers both over the counter and on the phone.
The new technology will also mean that our customers will be able to purchase tickets online for the first time. This upgrade ensures the Box Office will never sleep, providing a 24/7 service so customers can book tickets whenever they like.
To carry out this vital upgrade, the Box Office will be closed from Sunday 14th September until Friday 19th September inclusive and will re-open with the new, improved version on Saturday 20th September at 10:00am. The on-line Box Office will then be launched on Monday 29th September at 10am.
Rachel Simpson, Box Office Manager for the Theatres, said: “We are really looking forward to using the new box office system so that we can provide a better service to our many customers. And, as part of the upgrade, customers will be able to buy tickets online at any time of the day or night."
