We would not be able to bring our high quality programme, education projects, festival events or museum projects without the generous support of our funders. Did you know that North Devon Theatres’ Trust is a registered charity? Each year we need to raise up to £700,000 from donors, sponsors, grant makers and charitable trusts and foundations to make our work possible.

Every year we see:
Over 290,000 visitors to the Theatres, Festival and Museum
Over 20,000 places taken up on our education programmes by local young (and not-so young) people.

It’s easy to think when you come to a full house that we must be making lots of money, but the reality is that on average only 16 pence out of every pound taken at the box office stays with us; the other 84 pence goes to the artists, producers, in royalties and in taxes. This leaves us very little to run the organisation and maintain our buildings, which is why we introduced our Love Arts scheme as a direct way of keeping the buildings up to date.

Any surpluses made on individual shows are, because of our charitable status, recycled straight back into our general artistic, education and community programme, to benefit the communities of North Devon.

What we will achieve with your help:
• Bring top quality shows to North Devon that you would not otherwise see
• Support community and education projects
• Offer more varied programming, including drama, poetry, jazz, folk, world music and stand-up comedy
